  • What the?!?!?
    How the?!?!?
What originally was thought to never be available is here for this special Nostalgia Road Trip Special presentation.
Through the history of television, there have been cartoon shows that have come and gone, but this particular program is one that brings so much happy and memorable emotions to comic book fans all over the world who remember it and its characters.
Debuting in 1966, this would be the first TV series that would introduce children from all over the world to the MARVEL super heroes.
The series used the original comic stories largely in their entirety, showcasing artwork and characters created by now comic book legends like Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Bill Everett and Don Heck, as well as many others, from the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books.
Finding these have been difficult to track, as they have never been re-mastered or ever released in any form of dvd/blu-ray collection (aside from random VHS tapes in the mid 80s, but even in that never the completed set, but rather just 3 random episodes) But thanks to some digging and searching, they are available here (not all, but a good bit of them, at least)!
So till then, sit back....get the family together...and prepare to have a ball, because the Mighty Marvel Marathon is HERE!

I was a Marvel comic book fanatic since I was 5. I'm now in my 70s and still enjoy them today. These episodes of Cap, Thor, Submariner and my main character the Hulk or a part of my history and I am grateful to be able to view them today as I once did as a child.

Clint Eastwood's childhood super hero was Namor meanwhile his son wants to be Wolverine.
Meanwhile Araki, creator of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga, modeled Jotaro Kujo, hero or the third arc, after Clint Eastwood.
They actually met once and took a photo together.
Clint Eastwood was approached to play Superman in the 70s but turned it down, favoring more grounded roles.

I used to watch these with my dad as a kid in the 80’s and I thought the animation was so bad. Now as an adult comic collector I actually have some of these comics. The stories and voices are amazing. I turned 44 this Friday and I spent the entire day watching the whole 6 hour plus video. My dad is gone and my older brother is gone and all I have are the memories. Thank you for taking me back to a special time when I was a kid. I’ll definitely watch this marathon over and over. I have a tee shirt featuring the cover of Avengers #4, when Captain America was found and 'defrosted'. I had the actual comic back in the 60's, so it brings back happy memories. Jack Kirby's art might seem crude by modern standards but no one could convey the atmosphere or drama of a scene like he could. His 'space collages' were wondrous, andhad a photographic quality. Action scenes were genuinely exciting, while Ditko specialised in surrealist backdrops (Doctor Strange especially).
DC, on the other hand, was quite conservative in its approach, relying on familiarity and the occasional oddball story.
